Mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) are used to determine the size and hemoglobin content of red blood cells. As well as to calculate the variation in sizes of the red blood cells through red cell distribution width (RDW).
Rheumatoid arthritis is a severe form of joint disease affecting mainly the joints of the hands and feet. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis have high levels of R.A.Factor and this may precede the onset of joint symptoms. A small group of patients however have normal levels.
